BANANA WALNUT LAYER CAKE
½ cup brown sugar
½ cup white sugar
½ cup butter
2 eggs beaten
4 tbsp milk
1 large banana
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 ½ cups flour
½ cup walnuts
Cream butter and sugar, add eggs and beat. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Add the mashed banana and chopped nuts. Bake in layer cake tin in moderate oven*. Put layers together with lemon filling and ice with seven minute icing.
*Moderate oven is likely 350°F according to other recipes submitted.
