Ever wondered what it would be like to work in the mining industry? It can be a tough one to imagine as mining is something most of us are not really familiar with - even though our lives in this modern world depend on it. Well now is your chance to discover what a career in the industry is really like - an industry that is crucial to the BC economy.
In BC today, mining accounts for 20 out of the province's 120 top paying jobs. With an average salary of over $100,000, and a range of careers that include mechanic, accountant, environmental scientist, chef, CEO, and not forgetting miner, there's plenty to suit many career goals.
Mining Your Future is a TV mini-series explores these careers. With 30 minute episodes you can watch online
, this is not your typical dry and dull look at careers. It is genuinely fun to watch, thanks to the presenters Danielle and Maggie. Even if you're not looking for a career it's a great look at how the industry works. Season 1 hit the screens in 2012, while season 2 is coming September 2013.
