Opens March 19th, 2015
Pemberton Secondary School grade 8 and 9 metalwork students are excited to announce their third annual exhibition of the copper art they are creating in class. The students have created the artwork as part of their Project Based Learning. By participating in this event, they learned about the properties of metals as well as shaping and finishing techniques. Students were encouraged to express themselves and were invited to create anything that sparked their passion.
This is a big event for the students, who gain a large sense of pride at seeing their work professionally displayed. As a result of this project, there will be a large variety of art displayed including 2 dimensional shapes, experimenting with negative space, jewelry and even some 3D pieces!
This show has quietly become a personal favorite for me at the museum. The creativity generated by these students is incredible and always seems to generate amazing results. The temporary display will be up until April 18th.
