There is far more to Britannia than a trip to the Museum can cover.
Whether you are looking to enhance your visit to the Museum, teach about issues related to mining and Britannia in your classroom, or are looking for resources for your own research, you will find a wide range of materials here.
PLEASE NOTE: In the time of COVID-19, we have published several short lesson plans suitable for virtual learning.
A visit to the Museum is an outstanding opportunity to enhance your students’ understanding on the past, present, and future of mining. However there is always far more to discover than we can present in the time we have with your class. To make the most of your visit, we present a series of recommended classroom resources.
The Museum believes all students should have the opportunity to learn from Britannia’s past and present. To achieve this, we offer our feature movie ‘Groundbreaking’ and lesson plans which bring as much of the Britannia experience into the classroom as possible.

The Museum is a premier, non-profit organization dedicated to presenting mining's relevance today and towards a sustainable future. We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the sovereign Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation.
