Museum Hours

Welcome! Admission to the Britannia Mine Museum includes a guided underground tour, historical exhibits, gold panning, the award-winning film Ground Breaking and our newest attraction BOOM!

New safety protocols mean that we have reduced site capacity. Booking your admission time online prior to your visit is highly recommended to avoid disappointment. We cannot guarantee availability for walk-up traffic.

With so much to see you may want to allow 1.5 - 2 hours for your visit.

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your admissions reservation time to allow time to explore the Visitors Centre and make your way to the train pavilion for your guided underground tour.

UNDERGROUND TOUR AND BOOM!

The underground tour is included in your admission and scheduled for 1/2 an hour after your entry time. With reduced capacity in the underground, if you miss your admission reservation we cannot guarantee that we can accommodate you on the underground tour as most tours fill up daily. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your reservation to allow time to explore the Visitors Center and make your way ot the train pavilion for your underground tour.

BOOM! our newest multi-sensory, live-action attraction, is shown regularly throughout the day every 1/2 hour.
