During the COVID-19 pandemic, with students at home, we have been creating lesson plans to assist with your switch to online learning. These may be added to or updated during the pandemic.
We also encourage you to review our main Educator Resources pages as these also contain lessons suitable for online adaptation.
Follow the above link to a blog looking at community resilience, reflecting on Britannia’s history, with a view to the present COVID pandemic situation. You can download the Community Resilience lesson plan here which has students review a short 4 1/2 minute video.
For more visual background on Britannia Beach, the award-winning 15 minute movie Groundbreaking is also available.
Follow the link above to a blog that explores copper’s uses, both today and through the ages, touching on copper’s antimicrobial and antiviral properties. The lesson plan includes this, adding a topical element to the lesson, but more generally allows students to pay attention to copper's uses in the home, and can be downloaded here.
