Throughout Britannia Mine’s history, animals of all types have played an important role within the community. However, the industrial nature of our heritage site presents significant challenges and unusual environments for most pets. To ensure the safety of all animals, visitors, and our employees, we only allow accredited guide and service dogs -- as defined by the BC Government -- to explore on-site with their handler.
Upon arrival, BC residents must provide our Admissions team with their Guide Dog and Service Dog Certificate. Out-of-province or international visitors should email company.store@bcmm.ca prior to their visit to see whether their service dog qualifies under our visitation policy.
Therapy and emotional support animals are not permitted under these guidelines.

The Museum is a premier, non-profit organization dedicated to presenting mining's relevance today and towards a sustainable future. We would like to acknowledge that the land on which we gather is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the sovereign Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) First Nation.
