Hosted by Olympic Gold Medallist Jon Montgomery, THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is the country’s most-watched summer series and the new twist in Season 6 celebrates everyday Canadian heroes. Season 6 features advocates, coaches, elite athletes, first responders, mentors, Mounties, navy sailors, retired air force pilots, and volunteers with stories to tell, as racers travel across Canada and beyond, tackling intense challenges in the country’s favourite summertime adventure.

“THE AMAZING RACE CANADA is such a great showcase to not only tell the stories of everyday Canadians but also the legacy and relevance of Canadian sites that play a huge part in Canada’s historical journey,” says Kirstin Clausen, executive director of the Britannia Mine Museum. “We are incredibly excited and honoured to be featured as one of the locations for the production.”

The Britannia Mine Museum is a mining legacy site and a vibrant, internationally recognized education and tourist destination located between Vancouver and Whistler on the Sea-to-Sky highway.

It is a National Historic Site and a non-profit organization encouraging mining awareness through entertaining, experiential education programs and exhibits, important historic collection preservation and insightful public engagement that allows guests to leave with a better understanding of mining in BC; past, present and future.

The Britannia Mine Museum provides unique and memorable experiences that engage visitors of all ages including exhibits and crowd favourites like the underground mine train, the historic 20-storey concentrator mill and gold panning, where they can learn about Britannia’s history as one of the largest copper mines in the British Commonwealth in the 1930s.
