2020-2021 School Programs

A visit to the award-winning Britannia Mine Museum is a one-of-a-kind trip.

Britannia Mine Museum is a STEM Education Partner, providing unique, entertaining & memorable curriculum-based educational experiences that consider the relevance and impact of resource management and geologic exploration.

Students of all ages will have an enjoyable and engaging experience.

WHAT WILL A FIELD TRIP TO THE BRITANNIA MINE MUSUEM LOOK LIKE IN 2020-2021
  • Reduction of touch points
  • Increase sanitation throughout the site
  • Only one school per day ( for 2020 – In 2021 this policy will be reviewed)
  • Social distancing procedures onsite
  • Groups will be broken into smaller group sizes of 25
  • Later arrival times of 10am and 10:30am to allow for bus sanitization after school drop offs (If you need an earlier time please let us know)
  • Masks are required in the underground
Ready to build your visit?

Create relevant programming experiences that will maximize learning outcomes for your students. Start by choosing the educational programming relevant for your students from the options below. Then, customize your visit by selecting the core educational sessions from the categories listed. An overview of our programming can be found here.

Each program should include a combination of Underground, Lab, and Around the Site Sessions.

  • Group Sizes 25-50 require a minimum of 2 hours onsite to allow for group rotations
  • Group Sizes 50-75 require a minimum of 2.5 hours onsite to allow for group rotations
  • Group Sizes of 75-100 please contact us directly for groups of this size to discuss your options
  • 30 minutes for lunch is included in the base hour minimum
