In BC today, mining accounts for 20 out of the province's 120 top paying jobs. With an average salary of over $100,000, and a range of careers that include mechanic, accountant, environmental scientist, chef, CEO, and not forgetting miner, there's plenty to suit many career goals.
Mining Your Future is a TV mini-series explores these careers. With 30 minute episodes you can watch online, this is not your typical dry and dull look at careers. It is genuinely fun to watch, thanks to the presenters Danielle and Maggie. Even if you're not looking for a career it's a great look at how the industry works. Season 1 hit the screens in 2012, while season 2 is coming September 2013.
