Truth and Reconciliation Commission

We support the 94 recommendations of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission and commit to taking action on recommendations involving museums, culture, arts and education.

It is our hope that museums continue to be an integral part of the Truth and Reconciliation journey in this country.

Community Support Through Philanthropy

Initiatives and Support

A key value for the Museum is to remove social and academic barriers so that we can be accessible for all. Through action and involvement with like-minded local and provincial organizations, we have put into place initiatives that support community benefit.

An important aspect of supporting community benefit is recognizing that the Museum may be financially prohibitive to some segments of the population and while we cannot become free for the public, there are ways we can improve opportunity for those in need.

Donation Requests

Each year the Museum offers hundreds of BC schools and non-profit organizations Family Memberships or day tickets for their fundraising events.

Annually the Museum donates upwards of $5,000 for these worthy events and organizations.

To request a charity donation for a fundraiser to benefit a school or a non-profit organization, please fill in the form below.

While we would like to support all causes, our organization's focus is primarily on education and learning. We have a firm commitment to directing our resources towards initiatives that closely align with our mission of creating accessible learning experiences and inspiring discovery and connection.
